Mission Statement
To provide a high level of service to the citizens of the Parish of Caddo by effectively and humanely enforcing the Parish of Caddo Ordinances and Louisiana State Laws as they pertain to animal control and the public’s health, safety, and welfare.
To serve the citizens of the Parish of Caddo by enforcing those ordinances and laws, to educate the public concerning the ordinances, their importance to the parish and animals, and not to punish or assume the responsibility of the court system. To operate and maintain a clean, humane, and community oriented animal shelter. To provide high quality mosquito control services to the citizens of the Parish of Caddo by effectively applying professional mosquito control techniques.
Vision Statement
To strive toward the reduction and prevention of animal related incidents in the Parish of Caddo through reasonable and responsible application of education, enforcement, impoundment of stray domestic animals, and the effective resolution of animal care and control related complaints. To find permanent and appropriate homes for animals in need and reduce the amount of unnecessary euthanasia performed at the Caddo Parish Animal Shelter by aggressively promoting pet adoption, responsible pet ownership, spay and neuter initiatives, and public education. To protect the public from nuisance and disease through professional and effective application of mosquito control techniques and the efficient response to mosquito related complaints.

Caddo Parish Animal Services
The Caddo Parish Animal Services responsibility is to protect the citizens of Caddo Parish from dangerous, nuisance, and uncontrollable animals and ensure the protection and welfare of domestic animals. The Caddo Parish Animal Services Section responds to approximately 13,000 citizen requests each year. We also provide pet adoptions and help rescue injured animals.
Caddo Parish Mosquito Control
The Caddo Parish Mosquito Control Section monitors neighborhoods and sprays them when required and responds to requests made by citizens. Upon receiving a request for spray a Caddo Parish Mosquito Control Officer will inspect the neighborhood for potential breeding and harboring sites. The Mosquito Control Officer will spray the area if required or make recommendations to the homeowner(s) if needed.
