The Parish of Caddo Parks and Recreation Department is responsible for the operation and maintenance of 14 park sites, one monument, an historical bridge, two boat launches with parking, and several areas not accessible by the public. The department also provides landscaping and grass maintenance for other parish facilities on a year-round basis.
Joint Efforts With Area Townships
The department works closely with townships throughout the parish to provide recreational areas for its citizens. A regional tree growing-out station located in the Walter B. Jacobs Memorial Nature Park is maintained by the department in partnership with Shreveport Green and the National Tree Trust.
