Some FAQ's on logistics: 1.Do we need to arrive right at 5pm? You can arrive anytime between 5pm and 9pm. All activities are happening throughout the evening. 2. Where do we park? There is very limited parking available at the nature park. Continuous multiple shuttles will run from Richard Fleming Park, 7919 West Lakeshore Drive, Shreveport, LA 71107 to Walter B Jacobs Memorial Nature. Richard Fleming Park will have staff on site all evening and is well-lit, has bathrooms, a playground, and a covered pavilion. 3. Will there be food? Yes, food trucks will be on site. Uneeda Taco and the The Hot Dawg Hut and Candy Galore and More will stationed by the pavilion. 4. Do we need to pre-register or reserve a spot for Bugs, Bats, & Bones? The only activity that has limited space is the Guided Night Hike. Registration for the night hikes starts at 5pm in front of the visitor center.

Join us for the 9th Annual Bugs, Bats, & Bones. Enjoy an evening of non-scary, free, family-friendly fun! So many activities to do: *Guided Night Hikes- Leave your flashlight behind and explore your senses in the dark. Space limited. *Nocturnal Insect Hunt- Help entomologists check out the night life. *Exhibits & Presentations- Visit the Snake Pit, the Spider's Web, the Bat Cave, and more to learn the truth about these "creepy" animals. *Crafts- Arts and crafts activities for all ages, toddler to adult. *Games- Test your trivia skills on our bone and artifact game or join in a round of Bug Bingo and win prizes! *Get Your Grub On- Enjoy a tasty treat from Cafe Insecta if you're brave enough! *Storytime-Our littlest visitors can hear some not too creepy stories. *Lots more!
