On Tuesday, November 6, voters in Caddo Parish were asked to decide whether or not to renew a .83 millage that funds parks and recreational operations throughout Caddo Parish. We thank the over 70,000 voters that participated in Tuesday’s election.
Our Parish parks enhance the quality of life and culture in our communities. The space that our recreational areas provide citizens opportunities to relax, unwind and interact—and the educational and recreational programming that we are available to offer is invaluable to families in Caddo Parish.
We are indebted to the citizens of Caddo for voting to ensure that these resources can continue to be provided for and maintained throughout the Parish, and we are honored to be able to maintain your confidence in the delivery of these services to all of our citizens.
Whether it be attending a Parish event such as Owl Night, Get Hooked on Fishing or Bugs, Bats and Bones; taking a leisurely boat ride down Caddo Lake; running the nationally ranked trails at Eddie D. Jones Park, or attending a festive community event such as Christmas on Caddo, our Parks are open, accessible and ready for use by our citizens.
We thank you again for your civic engagement and commitment to our Parish, and we pledge to continue to provide you, the community, with the services that you deserve and expect.
