ERICA R. BRYANT APPOINTED INTERIM ASSISTANT PARISH ADMINISTRATOR

Dr. Woodrow Wilson, Jr., Parish Administrator/CEO, announced the appointment of Erica R. Bryant as Interim Assistant Administrator of the Parish of Caddo at the Caddo Parish Commission’s work session on Monday, June 17.

“I am pleased to announce Erica Bryant as the Parish’s interim assistant parish administrator,” said Dr. Woodrow Wilson. “Mrs. Bryant brings a wealth of experience to the position and has a proven track record of working alongside Parish staff and the Caddo Parish Commission to ensure that Parish resources are best being used to serve the citizens and employees of Caddo Parish. We look forward to her continuing that work and more in this position,” said Wilson.

Bryant has over 25 years in finance, accounting and governmental operations, beginning her career with the Parish of Caddo in 1997, serving as the Parish’s Director of Finance and Human Resources since 2003.  During her tenure at the Parish, she has assisted with numerous Parish initiatives, including the achievement of the Parish’s triple A (AAA) bond rating, increasing fund balance levels by over 50 percent, the realignment of the Department of Animal Services and Mosquito Control, and other measures to increase the efficiency and accuracy of departmental operations.

“I am excited to continue my work in this new role,” said Bryant. “I am looking forward to helping strengthen, grow and enrich Caddo Parish to meet citizen expectations in an ever-changing environment,” Bryant added.

Prior to joining the Parish’s administration, she served as a senior accountant for KPMG Peat Marwick LLP and as a staff auditor for the Louisiana Legislative Auditor. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business and Accounting from Southern University, and a Master of Business Administration from Louisiana State University. Bryant is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Government Finance Officer, Certified Public Finance Officer and a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).

Bryant’s appointment is effective immediately, filling the role previously held by Randy Lucky, who retired in May after 21 years of service to the Parish.
