CADDO PARISH COMMISSION CONFIRMS PARISH’S NEW HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTOR
Caddo Parish, LA – The Caddo Parish Commission confirmed the appointment of Cheryl J. McGee as the Parish’s new director of human resources. The appointment was approved at the Commission’s regular session meeting on September 19.
“I am pleased that the Commission has accepted the appointment of Cheryl McGee as our new director of human resources,” said Dr. Woody Wilson, Caddo Parish Administrator and CEO. “I have no doubt that she will continue to bring great leadership and guidance to our Parish’s human resources department and to all of our employees,” said Wilson.
McGee brings over 23 years of human resources, training and employee relations experience to the new position. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Northwestern State University and a master’s degree of human resources with a concentration in training and development from Amberton University. She began her tenure with the Parish of Caddo in 1999, and has served as human resources manager since 2006. She has previously worked with the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office and with the United States Marine Corps - Morale, Welfare and Recreation. McGee holds numerous certifications, including Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR); Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) and a Certified Workers Compensation Professional (CWCP).
McGee is a member of the Louisiana Organization of Parish Administrative Officials (LOPAO); Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM); and serves on the NWLA YWCA Board of Directors.
The appointment is effective immediately.
