CADDO PARISH PARKS AND RECREATION ANNOUNCES FALL PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES
In a continued effort to keep Caddo Parish patrons and parish staff safe this fall during the COVID-19 pandemic, Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation has announced creative virtual, online programs / activities, and social distancing fitness programs for youth, adults, and families.
“In spite of the pandemic, the diverse slate of programs and activities offered by our parks and recreation department this fall will still provide needed quality of life services to all of our resilient Caddo Parish youth, adults and families,” said Patrick Wesley, Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation director.
Programs and activities include virtual nature programs, social distancing fitness activities, virtual field trips, athletic and recreation online programs for youth, online educational resources for K-12 and Families, STEAM for K-5, activities for children with developmental disabilities and fun things to do at home.
In addition to the scheduled virtual programs and activities offered this Fall, all Caddo Parish public parks, green space, nature trails, walking paths, and restrooms will be open to the general public daily from 6:00am – 9:00pm, with the exception of Walter B. Jacobs Nature Park (Wednesday through Saturday from 8am – 5pm, and Sundays from 1pm – 5pm.). Walter B. Jacobs visitor center will remain closed to the public until further notice.
