It was a chilly yet exciting morning in Caddo Parish as members of the Caddo Commission joined Governor John Bel Edwards, North Louisiana Economic Partnership,  City of Shreveport Government, American Electric Power - AEP and others to announce the new AEP Transmission Operation Center and Resilient Technology Park in Caddo Parish. AEP’s 100 million dollar investment is slated to bring dozens of new direct and indirect jobs to our area with salaries over $100,000 dollars.

"
We are excited to welcome AEP’s new Transmission Operation Center to Caddo Parish. We are always excited to welcome new economic development, and AEP has a proven track record of commitment to growth in our area," said Caddo Commission President John E. Atkins.  "We feel strongly that the Commission's commitment to improving the infrastructure, such as road, water, and wastewater improvements, will only augment and strengthen the capacity and potential of AEP and the Resilient Technology Park, making it a win for our Parish and region.", said Atkins.

The Caddo Commission voted to fund numerous infrastructure improvements such as road, water and sewer upgrade to increase capacity and make the site optimal for expansion.
